WHEN OBEDIENCE FEELS COSTLY
There are moments in a believer’s journey when obedience feels heavier than disobedience. The instruction is clear, but the outcome is uncertain. Friends may not understand. The reward seems delayed. Yet, the call remains, “Follow Me.”
A young man once stood at such a crossroads. He had options that promised comfort and applause, but God’s voice pointed him in a quieter direction. It didn’t make sense to many, but he obeyed anyway.
📖 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Days turned into months, and the cost of obedience became evident. He lost certain relationships, faced misunderstandings, and walked seasons of silence. But something deeper was forming character, discernment, and unwavering faith.
Then, at God’s appointed time, clarity came. Doors opened that no human connection could have secured. What looked like loss became divine positioning.
📖 “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22
Obedience may cost you comfort, but it will always secure God’s presence. And where God is, victory is inevitable.
